We are starting off year 2 by learning all about food chains! We are going to be focusing in on a particular area by looking at how climate change is affecting food chains around the world.

We are going to be studying the text "Dear Earth" by Isabel Otter. In this story, Tessa learns all about the wonderful world we live in and uses beautiful descriptive language to describe how outstanding it is. We will be recreating our own versions of Dear Earth but changing them to inform others about the devastating impact of climate change on food chains. The best 3 stories from each class will be chosen to be read aloud in our informative class assembly we will be holding to educate the rest of the school about this problem.
