1 It's in the Bag!
This experience is based around Art (Textiles) and Science (Everyday materials).
The children learnt about everyday materials. They investigated their features and how suitable they would be.
Children then learnt how to weave. Making sure that their card went under and over.
Next, using the knowledge of weaving, the children learnt to sew.
We got so good at sewing, that we could create our own bags.
We didn't stop there though. We knew that we needed to persevere to make sure that our bags were the best they could be. So we had another go.
Eventually, we made bags that we took to the Harvest Festival and these were donated to the food bank to give to people who may need them.
