Football Tournament Knole Academy 9/3/19
The children did fantastically well at this tournament. We were playing in a group of 5 teams with Anthony Roper, Amhurst, Cheivening and Kemsing. Our first couple of games were a very close affair as we struggled to get into the day. We managed to win through our constant effort and not stop running form all of the players beating both Kemsing and Anthony Roper. This set us up very well for our next match against Cheivening who were unbeaten at this point, this was our best win of the day and arguably our best game of the day as we passed quickly and efficiently around the pitch and set ourselves up for a group deciding match against Amhurst.
The children worked tirelessly against a formidable opponent and played extremely well. It was a very closely fought match between two very good sides and we were unlucky to lose by just a single goal.
This set us up for Seal's first ever semi-final in this tournament and even without playing put us in the top four of 13 teams playing on Saturday. Thr tiring children having put so much into the previous four matches played well but were unable to break down a very solid defence and unfortunately we bowed out.
Our team of children (seen below) played some of the best football they have played all year and represented Seal brilliantly. Well done Seal.
