Seal Church Of England Primary School

Forest School

Forest School gives all learners the opportunity to develop skills such as team work, independence, perseverance and resilience in a safe outdoor environment.

We are very lucky here at Seal to have two Forest school leaders, two forest schools sites and children from Nursery to year 5 have 2 hours, weekly, to experience our wonderful grounds.

Forest school compliments the children's curricular learning, whilst developing their holistic needs and building life skills.

Children get the chance to learn about further topics such as nature, recycling, the natural environment, bush craft, den building and many more.

Each term the children get to input what they would like to learn through each experience we have.

Please note that children must have a suitable change of clothing, including full waterproofs, Wellington boots, layers of long sleeved warm clothing.  In winter please supply hats, gloves, scarves, additional layers.

You can find out more about our Forest School and other outdoor learning opportunities at Seal on our Outdoor Learning Class page.
