There are 2 options for guided reading. You can read a section from our new book and answer the questions that I will post below. I have recorded a video of me reading the text and asking the questions but please only use this if you are unable to read the text independently. or If you find the task above too challenging, I have found some books to read. Have a look through, if you would like help with a level or a book to read a day then please email me and I will help. Guided Reading LO: To be able to understand how to justify inferences. SC1: I can identify what inference is. SC2: I can make inferences based on the information I have read. SC3: I can justify my inferences with evidence from the text.

English LO: To be able to describe a character. (SHOW) SC1: I can describe appearance. SC2: I can describe actions. SC3: I can use dialogue to describe a character. Today, using your edited work from yesterday, I would like you to publish your work. I have provided you with the parts of the text that your character description will fit between. When you have written your final draft into How to Train Your Dragon, I would like you to reflect by referring back to the title page. Have you achieved the outcome? How do you know this? Have you included everything that you identified on the title page? Have you shown your understanding of the ‘even better if…’ section? Where? Have you created a detailed, descriptive and engaging character description? The presentation will tell you when to watch this video
By the end of the lesson you should’ve: Written your final piece into the How to Train your Dragon Text and Reflected using the title page. |

Art As it is Friday afternoon, we would normally be having nothing but P.E. As we can not practise team sports effectively then we have found some art for you to do. Neither myself or Mrs Ryder-Clarke are experts in Art, as I am sure you all know. We have found a proper artist to help you. Have a look through the website and pick one you would like to complete. Try a different one to last time. I have attached my attempt, you can easily see why I am no artist like Rob… http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob |

Wellbeing Have a look at what Mrs Broker has set you for Wellbeing… Dear Year 4, What does it mean to be an active listener? Please discuss this question with your parents or carers. Take a look at the following statements attached. Please read through each statement and answer either yes or no. You don't have to write your answers down in your notebook. Discuss your answers with your family and consider if you are an active listener or not. I hope you enjoy the exercise. Warm Regards Mrs Brocker |
