Once you have confirmed your login on your email it will direct you to a page that says “Find a book” Please click on that and then follow the instructions below.

Click on e-books and find your relevant book colour to read. (the colour of your home reading books) Please read the same book 3 times.

1st day – read to decode the words and make sure you can read every word in the book.

2nd day – read the book again and try to read with fluency and expression.

3rd day – read the book again and answer the comprehension questions at the end.

SC1: I can state what possession means.

SC2: I can state when to use a singular possessive apostrophe.

SC3: I can begin to use them in my writing.

 

Today we are going to be looking at the singular possessive apostrophe. Please see the attached PowerPoint entitles ‘singular possessive apostrophe 8th Jan’. I have recorded my voice talking over the PowerPoint, so you will need to watch it as a presentation by clicking on the button on the bottom right (if you are unsure, please see the attached PDF off the timetable.)

 

I explain everything within the voice over. A breakdown of the activities is as follows:

 

Mild: Add in either an      ‘     or      ‘s        into the sentences.

Hot: Make your own short sentences using the singular possessive apostrophe correctly.

Activity 2:

Have a practice, what dance moves can be performed high (standing up) or lower (to the ground)? These can be any dance moves that you like.

Please watch the following dance video if you are unsure on dance moved you could use. Have a think about how you can perform these dance moves lower and higher.

Activity 3:

Today, we would like you to create a dance to this song, which can be between 1 minute or more, using dance moves and thinking about how you can make some of the dance higher and some of the dance lower and closer to the ground.
