There are 2 options for guided reading. You can read a section from our new book and answer the questions that I will post below. I have recorded a video of me reading the text and asking the questions but please only use this if you are unable to read the text independently. or If you find the task above too challenging, I have found some books to read. Have a look through, if you would like help with a level or a book to read a day then please email me and I will help. Guided Reading LO: To be able to understand how to justify inferences. SC1: I can identify what inference is. SC2: I can make inferences based on the information I have read. SC3: I can justify my inferences with evidence from the text.

English LO: To be able to identify features which add description. (KNOW) SC1: I can identify what makes a good character description using high quality examples. SC2: I can identify the features of a good character description recalling prior learning. SC3: I can create my own examples for each identified feature of a good character description. Your lesson today looks at the skills you will need to apply in order for you to create your own great character description.
The powerpoint for the lesson, with audio and examples, is attached to the bottom of this page. To access the audio clips, you must view the slides as a presentation, you will then be able to click on the audio icon. There is also an optional extension task if you would like an extra challenge. |

Maths LO: To be able to show my understanding of multiplication You have now used all three of the formal written methods, you also reflected on which you found the easiest and why. For this week, I would like you to practise using your preferred technique. If you are getting the questions right then keep with the method you find most comfortable. I have uploaded videos to support this and help you through each day with the methods. A chilli challenge should be challenging, you should not choose a challenge because it is easy. If it is too easy change to a harder one, if it is too hard move to an easier challenge
I would really like to have a go at CC3. Challenge yourself year 4! |

Experience LO: To be able to know about viking longships Today we are going to be learning about the Viking longships. They were essential to their success. With these ships they were able to do many things that other people could not at this time. This gave them the edge in many ways. I would like you to watch this video on longships. Viking longships - KS2 History - BBC Bitesize And work your way through this interactive website. Viking traders and explorers - BBC Bitesize For the activity I would like you to draw a Viking Longships with labels and describe underneath how they used these ships. I have added a model underneath for you to help with your learning. |
