Oxford Owl have made available the e-books relevant to your RWI level. You will need to create a login first so please visit: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/user/sign_up.html Once you have confirmed your login on your email it will direct you to a page that says “Find a book” Please click on that and then follow the instructions below. Click on e-books and find your relevant book colour to read. (the colour of your home reading books) Please read the same book 3 times. 1st day – read to decode the words and make sure you can read every word in the book. 2nd day – read the book again and try to read with fluency and expression. 3rd day – read the book again and answer the comprehension questions at the end.

Maths – Arrays with bigger numbers (concrete)

Watch the video below on complex arrays. If you have not started the array work from last week, you will need to go back to last week’s work:
Task: Complete the questions attached at the bottom of the timetable page. You will need to use items in your house again to show the array. Please use items for these questions instead of drawing these as we will come to this later on in the week.

A little bit easier: If you are finding this difficult, answer the “a little easier” questions found in the attachment. Complete these questions the same way as you learnt last week.

Today we are developing our understanding of sonnets. Please see the video which explains what to do:
Main activity: Task 1: Mild: Write one stanza of a sonnet on an animal that makes you happy. Hot: Write two stanzas independently of a sonnet of animals that make you happy. Even better if: You write a complete sonnet, following the features you have written. Task 2: Reflection (Please try to complete the following at the end)
1) Write SC1, SC2 and SC3 where you have met the success criteria. 2) What have you found challenging so far, how did you overcome this? 3) What are your next steps (use your launch page)

Art: LO: To understand folding and tearing techniques. SC1: I can explain the effect of folding. SC2: I can explain the effect of tearing. SC3: I can create an image using these techniques.
Task 1: Today I would like you to answer the following questions in full sentences at the top of your page:
1) Why is tearing so effective in art? 2) Why is folding of paper effective within a collage?
Task 2: please create an image of your favourite animal using all of the techniques that we have covered so far in tearing and folding (tearing small and large, origami and folding for texture)
Please watch the videos from the previous days, or look back at the examples you have made, if you need to remember how to do it.
This is good practice for when we make an image of our happy place that we write our poem about! |
