10.00 - 11.00 - Literacy

LO: To write a scene description.

SC1: I can use prepositional phrases

SC2: I can describe the senses

SC3: I can excite the reader by using high level descriptions

Today I would like you to describe Roz climbing the sea cliffs. Using prepositional noun phrases and descriptions of the senses.

Prepositional noun phrases are groups of words containing propositions, which describe where something is. Example: Roz climbed high above the deadly, sharp rocks.

Like in class, remember to think about what the character is doing and imagine you are the character to help you to describe. What can Roz see? What can Roz hear? What can Roz touch? What can Roz smell? What would Roz be able to taste?

Please use the resource below to help you with creating prepositional phrases and describing the senses.

11.00 - 11.30 Break

Do something to get some energy out of the children for example Joe Wicks is releasing a work out video every Monday - Friday. Then spend the last 5 minutes getting them calm again. For example is there something they could tidy or draw or sit and read for 5 minutes. It is important they are calm again.
