Spring, Summer, Autumn and Printer!
In this experience we will be learning how to print. We will be using ink, rollers and polystyrene to print trees which will show the seasons. To go alongside our prints we will be writing poetry which is all about the seasons. To do this we will be learning to write similes, alliteration and onomatopoeia.
We learnt how to print and created a guide.
Next, we learnt about what made a good sketch and what didn't, using a good plan, bad plan - one of our thinking tools. We needed to know how to sketch to create the design for our prints.
After, we planned our acrostic poems using a spider map, one of our thinking tools.
We learnt how to draw onto polystyrene, we then used ink and a roller to print out designs.
Writing our acrostic poems:
Our outcome - An acrostic poem and seasonal print.
We showed care when writing our poems to make sure that they were the best that they could be. We wanted others to be able to enjoy them so worked on making sure others could read our writing.
