Staycation!
During this experience, the children will be learning about the mountains, lakes and rivers within the UK as well as about the UK's incredible national parks. They are going to be learning persuasive features such as emotive language and strong personal statements, to create a persuasive piece of writing to influence others to visit UK national parks.
Hook:
We went for a wonderful walk up the Kemsing Hill. We spoke about how we felt at the top of the hill and what human and physical features we could see. We also reflected upon our character and how it developed throughout the walk, motivating others to when climbing the steep slope.
Outcome:
Write a persuasive piece of writing to persuade others to visit a UK national park. You can read some of our persuasive writing below.
