During this experience, we used the book 'The Christmas Jolly Postman' as our inspiration text to write letters to coincide the story. We learnt all about informal letters, including the features and how to lay out a letter. The children then wrote letters to go in the story. The children wrote as different characters within the story. Just in time for the Christmas holidays, we all took home a Jolly Postman Christmas story with our own letter inside to read with our families on Christmas Eve!
