We began by reading the book 'The Twits' by Roald Dahl. What a book! The children loved hearing about all the meddlesome tricks the evil marriage couple get up to! We focused on creating a character description, using expanded noun phrases, for either Mr Twit or Mrs Twit. Dragonflies were inspired by expert description of Mr Twits gruesome beard by Roald Dahl and used his style in their description. The best character description is now proudly presented on the wall in the school library!
