English LO: To be able to write persuasively for different purposes. (GROW) SC1: I can identify and use persuasive features of writing. SC2: I can use persuasive features to write for different purposes. SC3: I can write including language which appeals to a varying target audience.
My tutorial will talk you through the steps of the lesson. You can watch it at the start of the lesson and then refer back to it as your progress through the slides.
Task 1- Now that you are expert persuasive writers, how would you improve my writing?
Task 2 (main task)- Look at the questions about the main body of your letter. What changes do you need to make to enable you to answer ‘yes’ to these questions? You will now need to edit and improve your writing. There are different levels of challenge for this task. Task 3- Reflection How have you shown an awareness of, and developed your skills, during this experience? For an extra challenge, can you persuade your audience further by making a link to one of your rights? I've added a Rights Respecting poster to the bottom of the page to remind you. Extension- What additional information, facts/ figures, can you use to support your persuasive writing further? |
