English LO: To be able to know the features needed to write persuasively (KNOW) SC1: I can identify persuasive features. SC2: I can reflect on what I need to do to create a persuasive piece of writing. SC3: I can identify how I need to use persuasive features to achieve the outcome. Today we begin our new experience. A new experience always starts with a launch page to ensure that we are clear on the outcome and the skills we need to master to enable us to get to the outcome. There are some areas within the launch page which you will need to add to/ complete independently. On the documents below, I’ve added a copy of the expert piece and photos of my launch page. The lesson’s powerpoint will support you to create each area of your launch page and tell you when to watch the video below.

Guided Reading There are 2 options for guided reading. You can read a section from our new book and answer the questions that I will post below. I have recorded a video of me reading the text and asking the questions but please only use this if you are unable to read the text independently. or If you find the task above too challenging, I have found some books to read. Have a look through, if you would like help with a level or a book to read a day then please email me and I will help. Guided Reading LO: To be able to understand how to retrieve key information. SC1: I can scan the text to find information. SC2: I can skim-read. SC3: I can retrieve relevant information from a text. 1. Where is this part of the story set? 2. Where did Toothless sleep and why? 3. What is the weather like in Berk? 4. Why did Hiccup try yelling at Toothless?

Maths LO: To be able to know how to divide by 100 For this lesson we are taking our learning to the next level and we are now going to divide by 100 rather than 10. The process is exactly the same but taken a little further. Have a look at the video I have uploaded and the worked example to help you if you need it. Again I will be showing you using manipulatives and without, so that you can see how it is done and use them if you need. By the end of this lesson though, I would like you to have stopped using manipulatives by the end of the questions. Have a look at the video below.
And the worked example. |
