Thursday 21st May

In order to keep up with our time telling skills, whenever you see “WHAT’S THE TIME MR WOLF?” on the timetable, you should stop and tell the time. Record it in your journal so that we can see how you are getting on – parents if you could write a comment to let us know how accurate they were, this would be very helpful.

9:00 – 9:30

Remember to keep taking a diary each time you eat a portion of fruit or veg as you will need this information for tomorrow’s maths task. Add to the information you kept yesterday.

L.O. To construct a table (applying)

SC1: I can include the main features of a table.

SC2: I can input data into my table.

SC3: I can evaluate the information that the table gives me.

Today you are going to be creating a table which shows how many glasses of different types of drink everyone in your family is drinking throughout the day.

First of all, you will need to collect this data. Create a tally chart and put it in your kitchen. Every time somebody gets a drink, they will need to add an extra tally.

You will need to collect this data throughout the day. At the end of the day, you will use this data and put it into a table. This is explained at the end of the timetable.

2020 – A Year of Change

TASC Wheel – How many ideas can I think of?

Now we have completed our “know” stage of learning for both our capital letters, instruction writing and different types of food groups it is now time for us to come up with some ideas of what we might make from our food in our cupboards.

Have a look at the food that you have in your cupboards and come up with three different meal ideas that you could make. Please present your work in a mind map form. Please look at my example below.

TASC Wheel – Which is my best idea?

Now you need to have a look at your 3 ideas and decide which is your best idea and which one you are going to make tomorrow. Next to your mind map can you please make sure you write which is your best idea and then most importantly make sure you write why this is your best idea. Please see my example below.

Every week I have an online quiz with 6 of my school friends and this week I wanted to do the theme “are you smarter than a 6/7 year old?” If you would like to, please could you video yourself asking a question to the camera. Your question could be about something we have learnt this year or about something you have a particular interest in. The funnier place you can record your question the better!

When I have received the videos I will compile all videos together and we can all do the quiz as a fun task on Friday before half term!

Parents – The video will only be shown on a laptop to my 6 school friends and will not be sent to anyone or posted on any social media. If you are happy for your child to take part please can you just write a sentence of consent in the email that you send with their video. for those of you in Butterflies. Thank you in advance :)

L.O. To construct a table (applying)

SC1: I can include the main features of a table.

SC2: I can input data into my table.

SC3: I can evaluate the information that the table gives me.

Now that you have collected data, you should have a completed tally chart. Here is mine:

Now watch my video tutorial on how to create a table in order to present this information:

Create your own table and write an evaluation on what it shows and what you think everyone within your family could do to be healthier.
