Today, we look at how the use of prepositions and prepositional phrases will enhance our narrative writing. 

Task 1- Identify the preposition. This should just be revision.

Task 2- Explain why the two examples are and are not prepositional phrases using the information gained on the previous slides.

Task 3 (main task)- Rewriting an extract from our new novel using your knowledge of prepositional phrases. This task is differentiated.

Task 4- Sorting the phrases to identify the expanded noun phrases and prepositional phrases.

For this lesson we are going to be looking at the angles that we have learned and estimate their size using the information we already know. Have a look at the video to explain the learning for today and the tasks.

Things to remember

• An acute angle is less than 90 degrees. 
• A right Angle is 90 degrees
• An obtuse angle is between 90 and 180 degrees. 
• Halfway between 0 and 90 degrees is 45 degrees
