Today, we look at how the use of prepositions and prepositional phrases will enhance our narrative writing.

Task 1- Identify the preposition. This should just be revision.

Task 2- Explain why the two examples are and are not prepositional phrases using the information gained on the previous slides.

Task 3 (main task)- Rewriting an extract from our new novel using your knowledge of prepositional phrases. This task is differentiated.

Things to remember

  • An acute angle is less than 90 degrees. 
  • A right Angle is 90 degrees
  • An obtuse angle is between 90 and 180 degrees. 
  • Halfway between 0 and 90 degrees is 45 degrees
