LO: TO be able to show an understanding of writing narratives (SHOW- Applying)

SC1: I can include learnt features in my narrative.

SC2: I can use descriptive language while writing my narrative.

SC3: I can write an interesting and engaging narrative.



Task 1- Using the expert piece, pick out the features you have learnt about so far.

Task 2 (main task)- Following the guidance on the video, write the ‘climax’ and ‘resolution’ section of your story. This task includes different levels of challenge.

Task 3- Review your writing against the checklist. 

Extension- Justify the language choices you made in your descriptions of characters and settings.

Answer the following questions. 

1.     How did Chulak trick the slaves?

2.     Why was Lalchand followed home?

3.     What was Rambashi’s latest business plan?

Read today’s text.

Answer the following questions. Use evidence from the text in each response. 

1. Why was Lalchand followed home?

2. Describe what Chulak saw when he looked over to The Jungle Grill from the distance.

3. What did Chulak eat at The Jungle Grill?

4. Why did Rambashi offer all of the food for free? Give at least 2 different reasons.

LO: To be able to know how to find lines of symmetry
SC1: I can identify what symmetry means
SC2: I can understand that shapes can have more than 1 line of symmetry
SC3: I can use manipulatives to help me. 

Today we are going to continue our work with symmetry, but move away from regular shapes and finding their lines of symmetry within the shapes themselves. 

Today we are finishing off a shape, so that it is symmetrical. We have one half and we need to use symmetry to make sure that we finish it properly.
