Once you have confirmed your login on your email it will direct you to a page that says “Find a book” Please click on that and then follow the instructions below.

Click on e-books and find your relevant book colour to read. (the colour of your home reading books) Please read the same book 3 times.

1st day – read to decode the words and make sure you can read every word in the book.

2nd day – read the book again and try to read with fluency and expression.

3rd day – read the book again and answer the comprehension questions at the end.

Today we are going to be learning about different types of lines. Please watch the video below on horizontal and vertical lines:

 

 

 

 

Task: Draw your own picture in the style of artist Piet Mondrian (example in the video above). Use vertical and horizontal lines to create your piece and then shade some of your shapes to finish your work.

Why do you think you can see these shapes and not any others?

English: Prepositions

SC2: I can explain when we use prepositions.

SC3: I can use prepositions in my writing.

 

Today we are going to be expanding our understanding of using prepositions. Please see below the attached PowerPoint entitled ‘prepositions lesson 7th Jan’. You will need to play this PowerPoint as a presentation by clicking on the button at the bottom right which looks like this (open timetable attachment at the bottom of this page to see the picture if you are unsure)

 

I have recorded my voice over the top of this lesson and I explain the powerpoint and the activities that you will need to complete.

 

A breakdown of the activities is as follows:

 

Mild- Fill in the gaps with appropriate prepositions.

Hot- Writing a short story about the picture using prepositions.

 

Even better if: Use a range of prepositions.

What is the Trinity?

 

A “Gospel” is a story which if from the life of Jesus and it is meant to teach us things.

One Gospel is from Matthew Chapter 3.

After watching the video, I would like you think about the meaning of the water, the voice from the sky and the dove?

To help show your ideas I would like you to draw the scene of Jesus being baptised by John and then underneath write a short explanation of your ideas about the water, the voice and the dove.
