In today’s lesson you’ll write your character description. As well as the plan you

created yesterday, I’ll also explain other places you can get help to ensure

that this character description is your best yet.

The powerpoint will tell you when to watch the video below-



By the end of the lesson you should’ve:

Written your character description from your plan and

A reflection of your piece compared to an author’s character description.

You can read a section from our new book and answer the questions that I

will post below. I have recorded a video of me reading the text and asking the

questions but please only use this if you are unable to read the text

Guided Reading

LO: To be able to understand how to retrieve key information.

SC1: I can scan the text to find information.

SC2: I can skim-read. 

SC3: I can retrieve relevant information from a text.

Today we are continuing with our formal written method of division, the bus s

top method. We have recapped how to divide and how to use the formal

written method, we are now taking this into our year 4 objectives.

Today we are learning about a Anglo-Saxon King called Ethelred the Unready,

and the reason he is called the unready.
