Guided Reading

Please read the pages attached below and then answer the questions below. Make sure that you justify your answers using the conjunctions because.

Questions

  1. What can you infer Harry would feel on his first day of school? WHy would he feel this? 

  2. What range of emotions would Harry go through on his first day, just trying to find his classroom? What in the book tells you this? 

  3. What can you infer Harry thought about his classes? Which do you think was his favourite form this passage? Which one as the worst? How do you know? 

  4. What did the author want you to infer when she described Snape’s eyes as black without warmth?

Today, I would like you to write as if you are Snape. Can you write about the first lesson with Harry and how that would be for Snape? 

I have included the scene from the film, to help give you ideas if you need them. 

 

 

I would like you to include in your writing: 

  • Imagery

  • Dialogue

  • Fronted adverbials 

Make your writing the best it can be. I have included my model for the day below to help you.

Maths

Now that we have had an introduction to converting between different measures we are now going to step it up a little.
