English LO: To be able to know the features needed to write persuasively (KNOW) SC1: I can identify rhetorical questions and exaggerated adjectives. SC2: I can use rhetorical questions and exaggerated adjectives. SC3: I can make language choices which appeal to the target audience. In today’s lesson we begin planning our own writing. We will use the skills we have learnt so far to start our plan which we will add to over the coming lessons as we gain more skills in writing persuasively. In order to successfully describe your dragon, you first need to consider what makes your dragon so special… The video for the lesson is below. The PowerPoint will tell you when to watch it.
By the end of the lesson you should’ve: Drawn and described your dragon, Listed exaggerated claims about your dragon Recorded rhetorical questions designed to make the audience consider key points and Reflected on whether your dragon will appeal to the Vikings in the story and how you know this. |

Guided Reading There are 2 options for guided reading, you can continue with the book and the questions that I will post below or I have found some books to read if you find this too hard. Have a look through, if you would like help with a level or a book to read a day then please email me and I will help. LO: To be able to retrieve key information. SC1: I can scan the text to find information. SC2: I can skim-read. SC3: I can retrieve relevant information from a text. 1. Maths LO: To be able to find missing number problems For this lesson we are going to be using our knowledge of multiplication and division to solve sums that are unfinished. These sums have numbers that are missing and you need to use your knowledge of formal written methods to find them. These are very similar to the missing number multiplication problems we did a couple of weeks ago, with a little difference There is a video to help you understand how to work through this, and a worked example if you need step by step instructions.
