Consider your layout-how can you make it visually appealing to the reader. Look at the example to help you.

11.00 - 11.30 Break

Do something to get some energy out of the children for example Joe Wicks is releasing a work out video every Monday - Friday. Then spend the last 5 minutes getting them calm again. For example is there something they could tidy or draw or sit and read for 5 minutes. It is important they are calm again.

11.30 - 12.15 - Maths

LO: To be able to subtract fractions

Subtracting fractions is exactly the same process as adding fractions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMJZXKRhEzE

Have a look at the video which will recap adding fractions as well a subtracting them. The concept is similar where you only have to look at the numerator because we know that tells us how many we have. The denominator only tells us how many there are in the whole, so it does not stand for a real number, just the concept of 1!

12.15 - 1.15 Lunch

1.15 - 2.15 - Mrs Mitchell and Miss Fermor's challenge

I would like you to create your Eater cake today (Let's do it! - TASC Wheel) and reflect in your journal about how it went and what you could improve at (Evaluate stage on TASC Wheel).

2.15 - 2.30 - Break

2.30 - 3.15 - Reading

As you have all worked so hard this term, for the last session of the term I would like for you to find a quiet and comfortable space where you can listen and enjoy David Walliams' daily audio reading. (I have attached the link in the home learning page too)

Extra message:

Dear Brilliant Beavers,

It has been fantastic to be able to teach you up until this Easter term. I will miss all your quirky and fun individual personalities. Keep up all the hard work for the coming two terms, whether it's home learning or back at school, you'll all be excellent and ready for Year 5!

Keep safe, all the best,

Miss Martin
