Oxford Owl have made available the e-books relevant to your RWI level. You will need to create a login first so please visit:

Once you have confirmed your login on your email it will direct you to a page that says “Find a book” Please click on that and then follow the instructions below.

Click on e-books and find your relevant book colour to read. (the colour of your home reading books) Please read the same book 3 times.

1st day – read to decode the words and make sure you can read every word in the book.

2nd day – read the book again and try to read with fluency and expression.

3rd day – read the book again and answer the comprehension questions at the end.

Watch the video below on complex arrays. Today we will be drawing out place value counters instead of using concrete materials:

A little easier: If you are finding it difficult, please continue practising the way we learnt last week (e.g. 2 x 14 – making 10 columns out of 1s instead of 1 out of 10s). You will find “a little easier” questions in the same attachment.

Today we are using our plan to write the first draft of our poem. If you have planned to write an acrostic poem then please watch this video:

Main activity:

Watch the videos above and plan your poem as the video shows you.


A little easier if:

You pause the video as it plays and do the steps at the same time.

You focus on just alliteration.


A little harder if:

You add accurate rhyme, alliteration, similes and adjectives within your poem.

Today, we are planning out final art piece on your ‘happy place’ that you have chosen to do your poem on.

Plan your art piece just like I have done in the video by drawing it and labelling the art technique used to make each part of your picture.

What have you learnt in art?

Where do you think these skills could take you in the future?

What did you find a challenge and how did you overcome this and show resilience?
