Exercise-Please do the live online Joe Wicks workout (on you-tube) or an exercise of your choice.

9:30-10:15

Maths:  

L.O: I can understand ratio (know: understanding)

Success criteria:

  1. I can explain what ratio is
  2. I can show how ratio is written
  3. I can use my knowledge of common factors to simplify ratio

 

Tasks:

  1. Read the PowerPoint on ratio
  2. Show ratio pictorially-can you give some examples of different ratio using pictures, can you simplify your ratio? Aim for at least 4 examples
  3. Complete the worksheet on ratio.

 

The answers are on the website so you can self-mark.

Task: To plan your own script that you will use for your puppet show

  1. Watch the tutorial on how to plan.
  2. Now plan your story for your script-remember to consider the purpose of your play
  3. Write an evaluative comment linked to the success criteria.

Remember to consider your layout and presentation-aim high like you do in your learning journals at school.  I will also be doing this challenge too and keep you posted with photographs etc, don’t forget to send me your photographs of you learning your new skills as well as your journal work.

Well-being activity of your choice-for example: listen to music, take a walk outside (if allowed), play a game, draw, paint, dance, read.

Story time

Listen to and enjoy the story ‘The House with Chicken Legs’ by Sophie Anderson read by Mrs Woolliscroft, the Year 5/6 teacher at Four Elms School and myself. Each day we will take it in turns to read a chapter of the book to you.
