Once you have confirmed your login on your email it will direct you to a page that says “Find a book” Please click on that and then follow the instructions below.

Click on e-books and find your relevant book colour to read. (the colour of your home reading books) Please read the same book 3 times.

1st day – read to decode the words and make sure you can read every word in the book.

2nd day – read the book again and try to read with fluency and expression.

3rd day – read the book again and answer the comprehension questions at the end.

Today we will be looking at other types of angles and how we can identify these. Please watch the video below:

 

 

 

 

Remember you can use your right angle finder to help you with the tasks below!

 

Task 1 – Photo hunt! I would like you to have a look for examples of different types of angles. Today, I would like you to try to take a photo of the angles and present your work in any way you like. You can put the pictures on a word document under 3 subheadings “acute angles” “right angles” and “obtuse angles”. Or if you do not have access to photos, you could create a table, like the one below, and write in different objects containing these angles. After this, I would like you to have a discussion with someone (adult, brother, sister etc.) about the most common type of angle and why this is.

Task 2 – If you manage to finish the above work, complete the following questions writing the type of angle. Questions are attached at the bottom of the page.

Today we are going to start learning about prepositions.

Please see below the attached Powerpoint titled ‘Prepositions lesson 6th Jan’.

 

You will need to play the slide show from the beginning as a presentation, as I have recorded me talking over the top of the Powerpoint. The activity is all explained within the Powerpoint presentation.

                                                     

A break-down of the activities is as follows:

 

Mild- Choose the correct preposition to fill in the gaps.

History –

 

LO: To know which countries the Romans invaded.

SC1) I can say when the Romans lived.

SC2) I can state who the romans invaded.

SC3) I can list these countries.

 

Today, we are going to be looking at the countries that the Romans invaded to build the Roman Empire.

 

The Romans invaded many countries in order to become more dominant (strong) and by conquering these countries it made Rome look extremely powerful.

Activity 2:

Research which countries the Romans invaded to build their empire. You can either print off a map and colour in some of the countries, or write a list of the countries that the Romans invaded.

 

There are a lot of countries, can you write between 5 or 10?
