Week Commencing 1st March 2021
Overview of the week
This week, we continue reading The Firework-Maker's Daughter. While reading through the chapter, we'll continue working on our inference and retrieval skills by unpicking parts of the text and answering questions directly linked to what has been read.
In English, we add to our plan using your knowledge of imagery to add description but also dialogue, prepositional phrases and adverbial phrases. When our work is planned, incorporating all our skills, we'll write the ending to the first chapter of our novel and edit our work to ensure it is as engaging and as interesting as is can possibly be.
This week in Maths we are continuing with shape. We have looked at angles and the lines within shapes. This week we are going to be looking at symmetry. Then towards the end of the week we are going to be using all of our knowledge to compare and contrast different shapes.
