Good morning Woodpeckers,

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. This is our last week of home learning before we are back in school on Monday 8th March. Miss Barnes and I can't wait to see you all. You have been missed.

Overview

English:

This week in English we are reading The Voyages of Sindbad the Sailor and basing all our writing on this text. Each day there is an audio version of the story and also an easier version of the story told as an animation. Our writing focus is using figurative language including hyperbole and allusion. There are two English tutorials every day to support your learning as well as a detailed checklist for every lesson.  

Maths:

We are continuing converting units of measure this week including converting between metric and imperial units of measure and also converting between units of time and using this knowledge to solve differentiated problems. There are tutorials every day to support your learning.

Well-being: 

There are well-being videos to watch every day with activities set by Mrs Smith. There will also be a well-being session from Mrs Brocker.

Afternoon activities:

Please select from the five fun and exciting challenges set by Mrs Mitchell and Miss Fermor. These can be completed with a sibling, with a friend through zoom/teams or on your own if your prefer.
