What are we learning this term?

Main Experiences

Paint it like Picasso - This term we are doing an art experience with a focus on using colour to convey mood in a portrait. We will be displaying these portraits outside the Kaleidoscope Gallery in Sevenoaks over the May Half Term. Please see below the launch page for further information.

The Circle of Life - In this Science experience, we will be studying the lifecycles and habitats of different animals with a focus on the ones we have on our farm. We will then be creating cyclical poetry to demonstrate the stages of the lifecycle of each of our animals.

Discrete Experiences

English - We will be focussing on narrative writing with a focus on using figurative langauge and inference to convey mood to the reader.

Reading - We are reading the story, 'Tom's Midnight Garden' by Phillipa Pearce. We are practising inference and prediction skills.

Maths - In term 5 we will be looking at fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as multiplication and division using written methods.

PE - This term our PE focus is ...

RE - In RE we are focusing on 'Judaism', understanding similarities and differences between people of a Jewish faith compared to a Christian faith, and having an understanding of key faiths, beliefs and cultures.

Wellbeing - This term's wellbeing focus is focused on CBT and thinking errors. Children are investigating what thinking errors are, which ones they are likely to experience and how they can overcome them.
